Selecting and designing the optimal rack system requires a comprehensive understanding and analysis of the facility, the product mix (type, size, volume, turnover), material handling equipment, and business operation. A properly designed system will be individually tailored to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.

Selective Pallet Rack
Selective Pallet Rack is the most commonly used warehouse storage system. This type of rack provides individual access to each pallet.
- Popular teardrop style pallet rack interchanges with many other brands
- Unique bolted upright allows for easy replacement of damaged components
- Pallet rack uprights ship fully assembled
- Safety locks are attached to each beam endplate
- Welded, roll-formed pallet rack also available with 4-5 week lead time

Drive-In Pallet Rack
Drive-In Pallet Racking is a high density storage solution that works well with a limited number of product SKUs. Drive-In requires standardized pallets throughout the system, and works as LIFO (last in, first out). Drive-In rack typically has a lower cost than other high density systems such as Push Back and Pallet Flow.
Push Back Rack
Push Back Racking is a high density storage solution that allows greater selectivity than drive-in pallet rack. Push Back is a LIFO (last in, first out) system, but multiple SKUs can be stored since each lane and level is accessed independently. Push Back systems can be designed to store up to 6 pallets in depth and multiple levels vertically. Options are available to accommodate various pallet sizes and types within one system.
Pallet Flow Rack is a high density storage system that functions as FIFO (first in, first out). This type of system works well for time sensitive products and a limited number of SKUs. Pallets are loaded from one side and gravity rollers transport them down to the picking side of the rack.
Stein Service & Supply offers several carton flow options for pallet rack picking levels. Carton flow can help organize smaller products being picked from the lower levels of your pallet rack. Stand-alone bays of carton flow racks can be constructed as well. Standard roller tracks, skate wheel style, and conveyor style rollers are available and can be integrated with existing selective rack.
Cantilever racks are ideal for storing long, bulky items such as pipes, lumber, and textiles. Double and single-sided units are available with a variety of capacity options. Arms are easily adjustable to accommodate changing inventory.
