How a Project Runs, Start to Finish

One team handles every step, from the first consultation to the final inspection. As the largest stocking distributor of warehouse storage and material handling equipment in the Southeast, we keep your project cost-effective and on schedule.

01

Warehouse Planning

It starts with a consultation to understand your storage needs. With 25+ years of experience, we can handle projects of any size and scope, from start to finish.

02

Warehouse Design

We gather facility drawings or measure the space for you. From there, we create a cost-efficient storage system, complete with AutoCAD drawings, that maximizes your space.

03

Warehouse Permitting

As a licensed general contractor, we handle the whole permitting process: structural drawings, site visits, the application, review, and inspections.

Material Acquisition

Long-term relationships with multiple equipment vendors give us quick access to materials for every kind of project, from pallet rack systems and modular offices to storage bins.

Warehouse Installation

Our project manager works from the plan you approved. They coordinate and oversee every part of the install so it goes smoothly and finishes on time.

Why One Team Matters

Most warehouse projects stall in the handoffs: the designer blames the installer, the installer blames the permit, and you make the phone calls. Our process closes those gaps.

One Point of Contact

A project manager owns your job from the first walkthrough to the final inspection. You always know who to call, and they always know where your project stands.

Licensed General Contractor

We are a licensed GC. The same company that draws your layout can provide stamped structural drawings, pull the permit, and sign off on the work. One installer is responsible for the anchoring, the plumb, the permit and the inspection.

Materials in Stock

As the largest stocking distributor in the Southeast, most items ship from our own inventory. You are not waiting on factory lead times, and the permit review can run while materials are already on the way.

What It Looks Like on a Real Job

A large utility company hired us to combine three warehouses into one new 32,000 sq. ft. building. We fit 35,000 sq. ft. of existing material into it. We started the design while the concrete floor was still curing, permitted the plan, and installed as soon as the building could take it. The full install took about three months, and the job was approved on the customer’s schedule.

Common Questions About the Process

How long does a project take?
It depends on size and location. The permit review date alone is usually 3–4 weeks out, so we start the permit at the same time as your material order. Most of that wait overlaps the factory lead time instead of adding to it.
Do I have to use every step?
No. Some customers come to us with drawings done and only need installation and permitting. Others just need design help. We scope the project around what you already have.
Where do you work?
Our core service area runs from Georgia through Virginia, and our crews have installed and permitted racking in states across the country.
Who pulls the permit?
We do. Stein handles the application, the review, and the inspections through to the Certificate of Occupancy, the same way we handle the design and the install.
